Engaging Millennials to Their Full Potential (AM)

WHEN: Thursday, March 8, 2018 (9:30 am to 11:30 am)
WHERE: Woodlands Club, Falmouth ME

Today’s work environment is seeing the fast influx of the next generation. The Millennials, also known as “Generation Y,” were born between the years of 1984 and 2000. Yes, they have arrived, and they are very eager to take on responsibilities and make a fast difference through their work. But hold on a moment, this population is leaving other generations scratching their heads with wonder about some common traits: their values, their work habits, and their sense of entitlement, to name a few.

In this program, we explore some common behaviors observed with millennials and understand the “whys” behind them. With this newfound understanding, participants can expect to gain the best of what this generation offers businesses.

Co-presented by KMA team members Kristen Kellner (Baby Boomer) and Lucy Ditzel (Millennial).

March Breakfast Brief: “Are Toxic Employees Polluting Your Workplace?” with Suzanne Benoit

WHEN: Tuesday, March 13, 2018 (7:30 am to 9:00 am)
WHERE: Woodlands Club, Falmouth ME

Why do we spend so much time dealing with the fallout from negative employees? Shouldn’t we be rewarding and acknowledging our best people with our quality time? Is there a difference between difficult employees, toxic ones and those who sexually harass?

While organizations can typically improve the performance of mildly negative folks, it’s the more strategic, less ethical types that prove very difficult to resolve. They often fly below the radar for years.

Join KMA and guest presenter, Suzanne Benoit, LCSW, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, author, speaker, consultant, human resource strategist as we discuss how to observe and address these power dynamics and social fallout with a sensible, comprehensive approach.
