Cyberattacks and How to Protect Your Business (using straight talk, not tech talk)

    7:30 am-9:30 am
    01/15/2019
    The Woodlands
    Falmouth, ME

You hear about it in the news every week: another company, government organization, or financial institution is hit by a cyberattack. Research shows that almost 50% of cyberattacks are now targeted at small businesses. So, what do you need to know about cybersecurity threats, and how do you protect your business and your customers?

During this session, we will discuss cybersecurity threats and how to minimize your risk. Learn why a strong cybersecurity posture requires multiple layers of protection, and how to effectively employ each layer at your organization. We’ll simplify the conversation using straight talk, not tech talk. You will leave with a better overall awareness of cybersecurity and the steps you can take to protect your business.

Presented by Rob Simopoulos, co-founder of Defendify, the all-in-one cybersecurity platform that makes cybersecurity possible for small business.

    Harassment Prevention Training

    9:00 am-10:30 am
    01/18/2019
    The Woodlands
    Falmouth, ME

Harassment in the workplace is against the law. But beyond being illegal, harassing behaviors have the potential to be demeaning and destructive to victims and work cultures.

KMA is committed to helping organizations comply with state-mandated harassment training, meanwhile sustaining cultures in which all employees feel safe and valued.

Register you and your team today!

This program is designed to help meet Maine compliance requirements. For harassment training to be fully compliant, employers must also provide employees in Maine with information on their organization’s internal complaint process. This should be included in the company sexual harassment policy and sent annually to employees to satisfy the notice provisions of state law. Please contact KMA if you need assistance in developing a sexual harassment policy which meets Maine requirements.
